1. What types of events does Deanna speak at?
Deanna can speak at women’s conferences, weekend retreats, church outreaches, missions conferences, and events for women in ministry leadership positions.
2. Does she speak at mid-week events?
Yes, as her schedule permits.
4. Will she help us plan our event?
Due to time constraints, she cannot lend individual help to each event. If you’re hosting a weekend event with multiple sessions, she can discuss with you the option of having small group discussions and provide you with the questions.
5. Can our leadership team meet with Deanna prior to our event, or prior to deciding whether or not we want to extend a formal invitation?
Unfortunately, doing so isn’t always feasible due to multiple demands on her time and schedule. We will however seek to provide as much information as possible to help you make your decision.
6. What topics does Deanna address?
Deanna’s passion is to see women flourish as a result of living in freedom in Christ and reaching out to other women around them. As a result, she addresses issues that apply to most women such as learning how to develop a relationship with God, utilizing gifts to reach other women, living out of the power of the Holy Spirit, and living with purpose. Her audiences often include women of all ages and all stages of life so her presentations have something for everyone.
She also addresses themes based on nearly 20 years experience in ministry. These topics include building an effective women’s ministry and learning how to individually mentor and guide women.
7. What if our group wants a topic that’s not listed on your site?
Deanna will try her best to accommodate you. That said, sometimes her schedule doesn’t allow the hours necessary to prepare a completely new speaking topic. As you consider your themes, especially for a weekend retreat, know that her existing topics allow her to speak from her passion. Each speaking session will be given with a fresh Word she has received through her time in study and preparation.
8. What are the speaking fees?
Deanna does not have a set speaking fee because she strives to be available for groups with varied budgets. That said, the ministry is faith supported and she relies on her income to help pay living expenses and fund the ministry.
Upon request, someone from Women’s LIFE Fellowship will supply suggested honorariums based on how many times Deanna will speak and the behind-the scenes study and preparation time. If you choose to give a formal invitation, specify your budget for speaking fees in the description of your event box on the Speaking Request Form.
9. What other expenses might we incur if we invite you to speak?
Groups are responsible for all travel expenses. These may include: airfare, car travel (40 cents/mi), airport parking, overnight accommodation, meals and gratuities.
10. Is it okay for us to place Deanna in a private home rather than pay for a hotel room if our budget is really tight?
Due to the heavy stress and preparation load of speaking, a hotel stay is preferable. However, if staying with someone would make an event more feasible for your group, she will be happy to work with that provided the home provides the ability for her to rest properly.
11. We’d like to invite you to speak at our event but we have a few questions to ask first. What should we do?
Simply fill out the on-line speaking request form and someone will get in touch with you shortly.
12. How do we book Deanna?
After filling out the form and talking with a member of Women’s LIFE Fellowship, you’ll receive a confirmation email, providing that Deanna is available for your event.
13. How far in advance do we need to book Deanna?
The sooner the better. Due to the need for preparation time, no event will be booked that is less than two months away.
